I know I keep on talking about Europe all the time. But that is because i wish to travel every part of Europe at least once. Getting back to the post, If you are in Germany, then a visit to mercedes-benz musuem is a must visit. As the country is famous for automobiles, you will see enormous variety of automobiles on the roads. But if you are interested in digging every aspect of cars, then a visit to mercedes benz museum is a good option. Lets talk about how to reach there. I always find trains as the best option to reach anywhere in Stuttgart. But you have to learn how to read the train station map. I am planning to write a post about the same.
Travelling in Bahn(Train stations)
Just catch the S-Bahn line S1 train going in the direction of Kirchheim (Teck) / Esslingen. Get off the train at the Neckar Park station and follow the signs for a short walk to the new building. It is 10-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take the S1, S2 or S3 to the first stop, Bad Cannstatt, and the #56 bus which will drop you off in front of the museum.
From Stuttgart Central Station, Arnulf-Klett-Platz 2, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany
To Mercedes-Benz Museum, Mercedesstraße 100, 70372 Stuttgart, Germany
You can book the tickets online at www.benz.me/tickets . Alternatively, you can buy the tickets directly from the ticket counter at the museum. Visiting timing of the museum is Tuesdays to Sundays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you reach at 5 p.m, then the ticket rates are half. Although you have to rush to see the whole museum. There are about three to four floors covering the automobiles from centuries.
Do check the information of the status of the museum on the site Mercedes-Benz Museum. As it is closed during some of the holiday seasons.
It depends from where you are travelling. If you have three zone ticket it is cheaper.
From Central station to Mercedes- 1Euro
Ticket to Mercedes-Benz Museum- 10 Euro
Sorry, I could not upload all the pictures here:( They are too heavy for this one post.
